It is all about Jesus

Our Beliefs

We believe in the One True Almighty God, who is eternally self-existent, Creator, Sustainer, Ruler, Savior, Father, King, and Judge of the whole world. We believe our Lord Jesus, He is God, there is none else beside him. He is omniscient (knows everything, has unlimited understanding or knowledge), omnipotent (has complete or unlimited power) and omnipresent (present in all places at all times).

We believe that God became flesh and came as a man, Jesus. God is a spirit (Jn 4:24) and Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin.  Jesus is fully God and fully man–Colossians 1:13-17 describes Jesus as the image of the invisible God, the radiance of glory (Hebrews 1:3).

The Bible: composed of the sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments, is the inspired Word of God. It is without error in the original writings; written as men were moved by the Holy Ghost and its words are not open to our private interpretation, but have one meaning inspired by Jesus Christ (Matthew 5:18; 2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21).

Salvation: We believe in faith, repentance, and baptism! Jesus says in Mark 16:16, “He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.” All throughout the book of Acts, when the hearts of people were pricked, desiring to go deeper in full surrender to the Lord, believers were baptized and received the spirit of the Lord Jesus Christ. After professing beliefs, repentance and baptism are acts of faith and obedience to Jesus Christ’s Word, detrimental to entering into Jesus’ covenant. (Acts 2:38, Romans 6, Acts 10:47-48).

The Gospel: The gospel or the Good news is Jesus! It is all about Jesus! When He first made Adam, all Jesus wanted was to walk in community with us in the Garden of Eden. However, satan is full of hate and jealousy, seeking whom he may devour. satan came to the Garden, tricked Adam and Eve, and through disobedience led them to sin. Because of this sin we now live in a fallen, broken world, full of sin and darkness. Rather than walking with God, people choose their own lusts, desires, and idols; choosing to worship the creation more than the Creator (Rom. 1:25).

Our world was hopeless… but Jesus.

God wanted to restore us back to relationship, He wanted to be in community once again. God came to Earth in the flesh as Jesus. There was a price that had to be paid to atone for the world’s sin; the price was innocent Jesus. He suffered a terrible death on the cross, bearing the sins of the whole world for all of time, tasting death for all of us (Isaiah 52:14, 53, Matthew 26 & 27, Hebrews 2:9). However, three days later Jesus rose from the dead, taking back the keys of death, hell, and the grave, restoring us back to the Garden of Eden (Revelations 1:18, Isaiah 61:1-4).

Jesus gives us the great commission–to go and preach the gospel to every creature, baptizing them in the name of Jesus, “and lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world” (Matthew 28:19, Mark 16:15-18, Luke 24:47).

The Church: The church today is to follow the great commission and spread the name of Jesus like wildfire. The church has never been confined to a building but is a people. Just as in the book of Acts, the church is still preaching Jesus Christ- the life-changing power of the cross and the blood of Jesus, and the joy of walking in resurrection life! It is through the name of Jesus that lives are changed, hearts are healed, and miracles can happen.

The name of Jesus is everything; that is why it is on our door, our literature, our lips, and our hearts! The Apostle Paul recorded that “it pleased the Father that in him [Jesus] all fulness dwells” (Colossians 1:19). However, Paul goes on to say “beware lest any man spoils you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ,” (Colossians 2:8). Oftentimes the world and religious systems try to trick us by taking out the name of Jesus. The disciples were imprisoned, beaten, and killed for preaching the name of Jesus. Jesus is all-powerful, His name is powerful.

Jesus has set us free by his blood, now we walk proclaiming the good news that is Him! satan is already defeated, but we get to remind him of his end when we truly walk in our purpose of being disciples and spreading the name of Jesus!
